Follow these steps to turn off suggesting mode in Google Docs.

1. Click on the ‘Suggesting’ mode

In the top-right corner of the toolbar, click where it says ‘Suggesting’. This controls the editing mode and shows your current setting. If it says ‘Suggesting,’ that means suggestion mode is active.

2. Change to ‘Editing’ mode

On the dropdown choose ‘Editing.’ This will switch you out of suggestion mode and into normal editing mode.
