To type on an image in Google Docs, follow the process below.
1. Open the Drawing Tool
To add text over the image, use the Drawing tool. Go to Insert > Drawing > + New to open the Drawing interface.
2. Insert the Image in the Drawing
In the Drawing window, click on the Image icon to upload the image you want to type on. Select the image source and insert it into the Drawing interface.
3. Add a Text Box Over the Image
Once the image is inserted, click on the Text Box icon from the toolbar. Draw the text box over the area of the image where you want to type. After creating the box, type your desired text inside it.
4. Format the Text
You can adjust the text’s font, size, and color using the options in the Drawing toolbar. Drag and resize the text box if necessary to position the text correctly over the image.
5. Save and Insert the Image with Text
Once you’re satisfied with your text, click Save and Close to insert the image with text into your Google Docs document.
6. Edit the Text (Optional)
To edit the text later, click on the image and select Edit from the menu below the image. This will reopen the Drawing tool, allowing you to adjust the text.
